Man sent to the hospital after alleged fight

A man was sent to Mount Nittany Medical Center early Saturday morning after an alleged fight.

State College police said a hospital representative contacted the police department after the victim sought treatment.

Sgt. Todd Scholton said the victim was choked from behind by a male suspect.

The incident reportedly happened somewhere on the 100 block of North Gill Street.

Police have a suspect, but one who has not yet been charged.

Scholton said the suspect could face physical harassment charges pending further investigation.
