State police crack down on narcotics dealing in Clinton County

During the course of the past several months, the Troop F Vice/Narcotics Unit has conducted an undercover investigation into the distribution of narcotics in Renovo, according to a state police report.

“Operation Reclaim Renovo” resulted in arrest warrants for nine individuals in the Renovo area for distribution of various narcotics and misdemeanor charges filed against two individuals for possession.

During the past 10 months, undercover investigations throughout other areas of Clinton County resulted in the arrests of eight additional individuals on charges including sale of cocaine, methamphetamines and marijuana, among others.

Since November, aggressive efforts of the state police Troop F Criminal Interdiction Unit resulted in the arrests of 10 individuals, including Matthew Young, 26, of Beech Creek.

Charges are pending on six additional persons from Clinton County by the Criminal Interdiction Unit.

State police said both the Troop F Vice/Narcotics Unit and the Troop F Criminal Interdiction Unit will continue aggressive investigative efforts into the sale and distribution of narcotics in Clinton County.
