Four New Yorkers were jailed on drug charges Friday following a traffic stop in Rush Township.
According to a state police news release, the four were stopped along Interstate 80 by state police at Rockview. The trooper noted the smell of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search.
Several different drugs were seized from the vehicle, the release said, including mushrooms, ketamine, ecstasy capsules and packages of marijuana.
Taken into custody were Javier Hernandez, 24, of Corona, N.Y.; Edward Benitez, 27, of West Babylon, N.Y.; Derik Munoz, 24, of Astoria N.Y.; and Karla Garcia, 21, of New York, N.Y. All were charged with possession with intent to deliver, along with various individual charges of marijuana possession and use of drug paraphernalia.

According to court documents, they were arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia, who set bail at $50,000 each. They remain incarcerated at the Centre County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is set for June 8.
