Local woman charged with felony theft

Police say a Howard woman stole $49.60 worth of merchandise at the Wal-Mart in Mill Hall.

Kathryn Joann Allegretto was stopped by Wal-Mart loss prevention personnel at 12:54 p.m. Sunday when police say she passed all points of sale. Police charged her with one count of felony theft and took her to state police in Lamar. She was arraigned and released on $1,500 unsecured bond.
