ITunes gift cards cannot be used as bail, police say
Police say a 73-year-old Tyrone man fell victim to a scam earlier this month when he bought $1,100 in iTunes gift cards for someone who told him he or she needed bail money.
“ITunes cards are not accepted as bail in any situation,” state police at Hollidaysburg said in a release Tuesday.
