Annual Backpack Giveaway coming up this month
A locally owned Verizon Wireless retailer will hold its annual Backpack Giveaway later this month.
On July 23, families and their children can pick up new backpacks filled with school supplies at Wireless Made Simple locations in Centre County, President Eric Bruckner said.
Bruckner said each child in kindergarten to fifth grade is eligible for one backpack as long as supplies last.
“We give back to the local education system twice a year, as we feel this is very important for our local youth development and future,” Bruckner said in an email.
