Homecoming is back. Here are the high school parades and games around Centre County
As Penn State celebrates its homecoming this week, schools around Centre County are busy preparing for their own parades, dances and celebrations.
Penn State’s homecoming parade will kick off downtown State College on Friday, followed by the 7:30 p.m. game against Illinois on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
Here’s a look at all the local high schools’ homecoming events and games this fall:
Bald Eagle Area
Parade: Wednesday, 6 p.m. on Water Street
Game: Friday, 7 p.m. against Bellefonte Area
Bellefonte Area
Parade: Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. in downtown Bellefonte
Game: Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. against Philipsburg-Osceola
Philipsburg-Osceola
Parade: Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. starting at the Philipsburg YMCA
Game: Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. against Westmont Hilltop
Penns Valley Area
Parade: Thursday, 6 p.m. at Grange Fairgrounds
Game: Friday, 7 p.m. against Clearfield, followed by crowning ceremony
State College Area
Parade: Thursday, Oct. 17 at 5:45 starting at State High and proceeding through the Holmes-Foster neighborhood
Game: Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. against Carlisle
Centre County Christian Academy
Game: Student parade and fundraiser in the lot prior to girls and boys soccer games starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 against DuBois
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy
Game: Soccer senior night on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
The school is celebrating its 10th homecoming with its annual bonfire and fall fest on Friday, Oct. 4, starting at 6 p.m.
