See scenes from Penn State’s campus as students begin class for the 2021-22 school year
Penn State students are back on campus as classes began Monday for the 2021-22 school year.
Students and university employees have returned to learning and working on site full time this semester, a departure from the hybrid online/in-person models from the past two semesters. Masks are required to be worn inside buildings on campus, including classrooms and meeting spaces.
Penn State will require weekly COVID-19 testing of students living on or off campus who are unvaccinated or have not shared their vaccination status. Comprehensive testing results will continue to be published twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) via the university’s COVID-19 dashboard. Penn State has not mandated the COVID vaccine.
