Natasha Bedingfield, a singer-songwriter most known for her 2004 hit “Unwritten,” took to the Bryce Jordan Center stage on Friday for the first night of Penn State’s Thon 2023.

Bedingfield was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2004 and has released four studio albums. The British pop artist’s song “Pocketful of Sunshine” was a top-five hit in 2008, and she collaborated with singer Sean Kingston on her top-15 hit “Love Like This.”

In front of over 700 student dancers who began their 46 hours of standing at 6 p.m., Bedingfield showcased her vocal range, even singing a capella at for one song. The stands of the Bryce Jordan Center were also packed with spectators.

Donning a shimmery blue jumpsuit and a bright red hat, Bedingfield performed her well-known early-2000s jams along with a few pop covers, including “Purple Rain” by Prince and “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd.
