Whiz or water? Either way, Penn State police investigating crude TikTok trend
Armed with a seemingly full bladder and a cellphone, a mysterious TikTok user has been spraying some sort of liquid across Penn State’s campus — and university police are trying to flush them out.
Referring to themselves as the “Penn State Pisser,” the videos that seem to be shot in the night hours have targeted Pollock Halls, The Arboretum, East Halls, South Halls, Beaver Stadium, the HUB-Robeson Center and a parking garage.
The viral posts have been viewed nearly half a million times.
Penn State police spokeswoman Jackie Sheader said Thursday the department is “aware of the individual and the social media page, and the situation is being investigated by the department.”
It seems plausible the department may have identified a suspect. After uploading a video for a week straight, the account hasn’t posted a video of them urinating — or spraying a liquid with a water bottle — since Monday.
Penn State is just one of many universities nationwide dealing with a stream of similar viral videos on the service that’s popular with teens and young adults. One user was even arrested in Louisiana.
