Those timeouts

As an Eagles fan, I'm used to watching botched clock managment.

But Penn State's performance at the start of the Alabama game rivals any I've seen.

Three timeouts? Talk about taking the air out of the game.

Say whatever you'd like, but Alabama clearly again was the better team and program.

Penn State would need everything going its way to stay in a game with Bama, or another top team, and clock management counts.

I doubt that Coach Joe Paterno returns to the sidelines for awhile. The other coaches are going to have to move forward.

I've been to my share of Penn State-Temple games. We all have. This will be no picnic in Philly on Saturday.

Let's hope coaches keep some timeouts in case they need them.
