Editor's pick: A spotlight on a letter

Of late we're receiving a heavy volume of letters to the editor, and many are very good.

We've decided to occasionally select a top letter and mark it an editor's pick.

Here's the first, and I think you'll agree it's special. 

Moving forward, look for editor's picks in the letters section on some days. Thanks to all writers.
