Magical Harry Potter-inspired treehouse nestled in NC mountains on Airbnb. Look inside
Ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a Hogwarts-inspired treehouse? Now’s your chance — but be prepared to wait.
“Wizards Hollow” is a Harry Potter-inspired treehouse nestled in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, according to Airbnb.
It’s “our version of Hogwarts,” the hosts said.
The Hogwarts castle is one of five magical tree houses, and a real-life hobbit hole, in the “Treehouses of Serenity” resort about 10 miles north of Asheville.
Wizards Hollow is close to 600 square feet, and has one bedroom with “a spiral staircase that leads to a loft with an additional bed,” according to the Airbnb page.
Each room is decked out in velvet wall hangings, colorful flags, Hogwarts-style pillows, and owls guarding the magical castle. There’s even Hedwig, Harry Potter’s pet snowy owl, sitting near school books and luggage.
A deck encircles the treehouse — with views that are every bit as majestic as those from the place’s expansive windows.
The treehouse is so popular that it’s fully booked until October 2024.
This Hogwarts-inspired residence is not the only treehouse turning heads in North Carolina.
A 9-year-old invested thousands of dollars to build his “dream treehouse” in the backyard of his family’s home in Murphy, North Carolina, McClatchy News previously reported.
In a year and a half, Eli Sylvester saved more than $4,800 and invested $6,000, minus the cost of goods, to build his treehouse. He even got creative with his birthday invitations and Christmas wish lists: No toys, just supplies to build his dream treehouse.
