A 74-year-old woman with a revoked driver’s license evaded police through three Arizona cities, authorities said.

The woman from New York was driving an orange 2020 Subaru Crosstrek when she would not stop for officers trying to pull her over on July 9 in Sedona, the Cottonwood Police Department said.

Multiple people made reports to police about the woman’s “erratic and disorderly behavior.”

Sedona police officers stopped following the woman as she began to make her way to Cottonwood, which is about 20 miles southwest of Sedona.

When Cottonwood police officers tried to stop her, she ran a red light and nearly struck multiple vehicles before evading police again, authorities said.

Officers halted their pursuit when it became a safety concern for the public.

But the woman continued to drive through Cottonwood and Clarkdale with “no regard for life,” police said.

As she made her way to Clarkdale again, police tried to stop her but she began driving the wrong way on a highway toward Cottonwood.

Cottonwood police eventually slowed the woman down by deploying stop sticks that deflated two of her tires.

Police also conducted a PIT maneuver. The driver then backed into the officer’s vehicle to escape, causing “serious damage” to it, authorities said.

Police arrested the woman on several felony charges and traffic violations, including felony flight, aggravated assault on law enforcement, endangerment, criminal damage and resisting arrest.
