73-year-old woman dies after truck plunges off parking garage, Tennessee cops say
A woman has died a week after a parking garage wreck, Tennessee cops say.
Patsy Pinckard, 73, of Centreville pulled into a spot in a public parking garage Aug. 10 when her Toyota Tacoma went through cable barriers and fell four floors, according to an Aug. 18 news release from Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
It is unclear what caused the truck to go through the barrier, the release says.
Police say Pinckard was wearing a seatbelt and there were no signs of impairment.
After the accident, Pinckard was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She died the morning of Aug. 17 as a result of her injuries, according to the release.
Pinckard was described as “one of a kind, full of life and unconditional love,” by her daughter Julia Setzer, according to a tribute post on social media. “You will forever be missed.”
