Driver and two teens seriously hurt when car plunges off cliff, Hawaii rescuers say

A 20-year-old man and two teenage girls were seriously hurt after a car plunged more than 50 feet off a cliff in Oahu, Hawaii officials told news outlets.

The vehicle crashed off Round Top Drive about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, KHON reported.

The driver and two girls, ages 14 and 17, were able to get out of the vehicle, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.

All three were seriously hurt, according to Hawaii News Now. Firefighters took them to a hospital. A photo shows the vehicle landed upside-down in a wooded area.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, KITV reported.
