Can you solve this ‘Wheel of Fortune’ puzzle? Georgia college student did in 10 seconds
A Georgia college student took seconds to solve the final puzzle on “Wheel of Fortune” — and walked away with more than $69,000 in winnings.
Quincy Howard, a Dublin native and Georgia Tech student, competed on the popular game show Monday night, Nov. 28, for “Wheel of Fortune’s” College Week, according to the university.
The industrial engineering major earned $35,750 before advancing to the bonus round, where he was faced with the final puzzle category “people,” video shows. With just 10 seconds to solve, Howard answered, “Kids at play.”
The correct response earned him a brand new Mini Cooper worth $33,850.
“Quincy’s determination and intuition were on full display on Wheel of Fortune,” Georgia Tech spokesman Stephen Norris told McClatchy News in a statement. “Quincy is also a standout student in the classroom, and we are confident he is destined for great things.”
“We are excited to be part of his journey and will continue to celebrate with him every step of the way,” Norris added.
Howard’s big win was also celebrated in his hometown of Dublin, where he was valedictorian of Dublin High School’s Class of 2021, WMAZ reported.
“Way to go Quincy!!!” Dublin City Schools wrote on Facebook. “You cleaned up at Wheel of Fortune! You continue to make the Green and Gold beam with Irish Pride!”
Dublin is about 140 miles southeast of Atlanta.
