There’s a hidden wine cave in this California estate for sale. Can you find it?
Wine cellars are a thing of the past — at least when it comes to this fully loaded estate on the market in Indian Wells, California.
The three-bedroom, five-bathroom home, which is listed for $6.9 million, not only has some pretty ridiculous views from nearly every room, but it comes with a wide array of amenities, including a wine cave…a hidden one.
“This gorgeous Guy Dreier designed home has expansive views and absolute privacy,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “With over 9,854 square feet on the main level and 4,000 square feet on the bottom level, including the garage, this spacious property is the perfect mountainside retreat.”
Inside, a vast primary suite awaits with a stone fireplace while the great room provides the charming views along with natural light flowing through a skylight, the listing notes. Other features include:
Chef’s kitchen
Two guest rooms
Spiral staircase
1950s-style diner
Theater
Massive garage
But the real charmer is “the hidden wine cellar” that has the look and feel of an actual cave, the photos show. And there’s enough space to wow dinner guests.
The home made an appearance on Friday Night Zillow, a Mastodon segment that highlights unique homes on the real estate market and is run by Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis.
“This $6.9M, 14,000 sf mansion includes a diner in the basement, a sweet theater and a literal wine cave,” Dennis said in a caption. “Indian Wells, California. I keep hearing there is a water crisis but if that’s true why is there a green golf course here?”
Indian Wells is about 35 miles west of Joshua Tree National Park.
