Noise inside apartment wall leads firefighters to adorable critters. See the babies
Firefighters were inspecting a Washington apartment when they heard noises coming from the walls.
When the fire marshal and inspector followed the noises, they found six adorable kittens on Sept. 11, the Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue said in a Facebook post.
The kittens were hidden behind fresh drywall in new apartments, the department said.
So a crew had to cut open the wall to reach the meowing critters.
“They were very hungry, but otherwise healthy,” the department said in the post.
Fire officials took the kittens to the Humane Society of Cowlitz County. They will be available to be adopted in a few weeks.
“I feel like they should be named in a theme of where they were lol like: Drywall, Frame, Stud, Mud, Spackle, and Outlet,” one person commented on Facebook.
Cowlitz County is in southwestern Washington, and it borders Oregon.
