Powerball player wins big in Georgia. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball player in Georgia is $50,000 richer, marking yet another big lottery win for the Peach State this week.
The lucky winner matched four numbers and the red Powerball in the drawing on Wednesday, June 12, according to the Georgia Lottery.
Officials confirmed the winning ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket on Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn.
It comes a day after someone in Dacula won $1 million in the Mega Millions drawing on June 11. Another lucky player in Marietta netted a $40,000 prize.
The winning Powerball numbers drawn Wednesday were 19, 30, 31, 61, 62 and red Power Ball 21, according to the lottery game’s website. The Power Play option was 2X.
There were $1 million winners in California and Michigan, though no one took home the estimated $20 million grand prize, results show.
The next Powerball drawing is June 15 with an estimated $34 million jackpot.
Lilburn is about a 20-mile drive northeast from downtown Atlanta.
