A Fantasy 5 player put their luck to the test — and won a windfall.

Someone won a $474,752 jackpot after matching all five numbers in the Fantasy 5 drawing Wednesday, Dec. 11, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The lucky ticket was sold at Jay’s One Stop in Allenhurst, about a 50-mile drive southwest from Savannah, lottery officials said. The winner beat odds of 1 in 850,668 to win the jackpot prize.

The winning numbers were 06-17-22-24-41, results show.

Lottery officials didn’t release additional details.

It’s the latest in a string of big lottery wins in the Peach State. A Powerball ticket sold in Whigham won $50,000 in the Dec. 9 drawing, McClatchy News reported.

In November, two Powerball players split the highest single payout” in Georgia lottery history after snagging a $478.2 million jackpot back in October.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, and players are encouraged to sign their tickets, the Georgia Lottery said.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
