Gambler hits life-changing jackpot on New Year’s Day at Northern California casino
A lucky gambler rang in the new year with a life-changing jackpot at a Northern California casino.
The player sat at a Buffalo Link slot machine on Jan. 1 at the Thunder Valley Casino and Resort in Lincoln, the casino said in a news release.
The visitor hit the $250,650 jackpot.
“What a way to jump into 2025!” the casino’s general manager, Dawn Clayton, said in the release. “Moments like these are what make Thunder Valley special.”
Another gambler won a slot machine jackpot at the same casino last month.
The player bet $5 and won over $29,000 on Dec. 12.
A guest won an even bigger prize in July when they hit a $1,210,107.19 jackpot at the casino.
Lincoln is about a 30-mile drive northeast from Sacramento.
