Who won PA House races to represent Centre County? Here’s a look at results
Centre County is split into three Pennsylvania House districts, and each was a competitive race in the 2022 midterm election.
Incumbent Reps. Scott Conklin, D-Rush Township, and Kerry Benninghoff, R-Bellefonte, will keep their seats in the 77th and 171st districts, respectively. The AP called the races in favor of the incumbents. In the newly created 82nd House District, Democrat Paul Takac, a College Township Council member, has claimed victory over Republican Justin Behrens.
Below are the unofficial results from each race, with all Centre County precincts reporting as of 11 p.m. Tuesday.
House District 77
Includes Ferguson, Halfmoon, Huston, Patton, Rush, Taylor and Worth townships, along with the boroughs of Philipsburg, Port Matilda and part of State College.
Scott Conklin (D): 14,515
Steve Yetsko (R): 8,953
House District 82
House District 82 is a new seat created approved by the Legislative Reapportionment Commission and approved by the state Supreme Court in March 2022. The district includes Benner, Boggs, Burnside, College, Curtin, Harris, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Snow Shoe and Union townships and boroughs of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and part of State College.

House District 171
Includes part of Centre and Mifflin counties. In Centre County, district includes Gregg, Haines, Miles, Penn, Potter, Spring and Walker townships and Bellefonte, Centre Hall and Millheim borough.
Kerry Benninghoff (R): 18,949 (9,642 in Centre and 9,307 in Mifflin)
Robert Zeigler (D): 7,300 (5,053 in Centre and 2,247 in Mifflin)
