Here are primary election results from Centre County supervisor, council races

Seats on councils and boards of supervisors are up for election across Centre County this year, and Tuesday’s primary saw a handful of contested races.

In some instances, the primary results likely decide the outcome of the race in November. That’s the case for the open seat on the Benner Township board of supervisors, where Republicans Therese Hollen and Larry Lingle faced off, with no Democratic candidate filed to run.

In other areas, including State College Borough, there were no contested races on the Democratic ballot for council seats or mayor, and no Republican candidates running. Centre County incumbent judicial candidates, including district attorney, are also running unopposed.

With all of the county’s 87 precincts reporting as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, here’s a look at unofficial results for contested supervisors and council races across the county.

All results are unofficial until certified by the Board of Elections. Military and overseas ballots can also be received by Tuesday, May 27 if they were submitted for delivery before midnight Monday. It’s possible the results could still change in closely contested races, such as the Spring Township Board of Supervisors.
