Recalled Skippy peanut butter shipped to PA. Here’s how to check your jar

Skippy recently announced it’s recalling a “limited number” of jars of its peanut butter – 9,353 cases to be exact – after some were shipped to Pennsylvania and 18 other states with possibly a “small fragment of stainless steel” inside.

The recall, which includes some 161,692 pounds of peanut butter altogether, applies to code dates for the following Skippy products, according to a recall notice from the Food and Drug Administration.

Separately, a recall notice from the company itself noted another product as included in the recall, specifically Reduced Fat SUPER CHUNK Peanut Butter Spread, 16.3 oz.

A company notice said customers who bought the recalled jars can return them for a refund or call Skippy Foods Consumer Engagement at 1-866-475-4779 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. central time.
