A 32-year-old man was sitting on an escalator rail when he fatally fell about 40 feet at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, police said.

The Philadelphia Police Department was called to the incident at about 10:47 p.m. Thursday, July 14, according to a news release sent to McClatchy News. That was about 30 minutes after The Weeknd had thanked Philadelphia following a sold-out concert.

The man “suffered major head trauma,” according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:10 a.m.
