Amid record inflation and a work shift christened the Great Resignation, many individuals have hit the job market in hopes to secure better conditions and higher pay.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s June employment report, released Friday, the state’s unemployment rate is down over the previous month to 4.5%. Hospitality fields posted the largest 12-month gains, the agency said, adding 64,000 positions.
For those willing to enter public service, a job with the state could offer steady pay with strong benefits.
Here are the eight highest-paying jobs currently open and advertised publicly for the commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the state’s online portal, as of July 22.
Manager investment officer
Salary: $163,522 to $251,913
Agency: SL Public School Employees’ Retirement System
