Respect flag, national anthem

Lately more and more professional athletes are not standing for our national anthem. This irritates me. If they were playing on a foreign team, something would be done about it. The excuses they use are very lame. Their salaries are more than most people make in their lifetime. Why don’t they do something constructive about the things they say are wrong? Would they give up their lifestyle to do something about these things they say are wrong? These athletes should not be allowed on the field, court, etc., if they want to continue to disrespect our country and the symbols that stand for it.

People of this country have fought and lives have been lost for these people to be able to say and do the things they do. These athletes want respect for their beliefs. To get respect, give respect to our flag and national anthem by standing.
