I started out so excited to vote for my first time in Centre County; the other two elections in which I was able to vote I did so through absentee ballots.
That excitement quickly vanished when I got to the poll. I had recently moved and was told when I called the election office that I could bring mail to verify my new address and be given a provisional ballot. I was denied at the poll, and when I called the election office for a clear answer, I was met with the most condescending tone as well as accused of lying about my prior phone call, because clearly no one in that office could ever make a mistake.
It makes me wonder how many other people were turned away and did nothing about it with all of their votes lost. At the end of the day I voted, with no help from Centre County.
