Would have hoped for better

I object to the CDT’s headline on Nov. 15: “Postgame riot yields charges.”

In fact, thousands of students spilled into the streets to celebrate the win over Ohio State, and 37 people did damage.

Labeling this infinitesimal percentage of university celebrants a “riot” is inflammatory and irresponsible journalism.

Penn State has been unjustly abused by the media for years now, and I would have hoped for better from our hometown newspaper.
