Duped by Trump

I took a motorcycle ride to Renovo via Snow Shoe. It was a beautiful ride and I got a close look at a pair of golden eagles along the way. I also saw political signs of only Trump supporters.

As I looked around at the properties, homes, automobiles and collections in yards and driveways, I couldn’t help but think that these Trump supporters were duped by Trump. Donald Trump is never going to come to the aid of these Pennsylvanians. He has alluded to support for them but his actions only jeopardize their health care, jobs, work safety, education and environmental protections.

Trump and coal will never return to Kentucky and West Virginia and I have no idea what Pennsylvanians, or anyone, think he will do for them. Trump’s whole life has shown only contempt and derision for “ordinary” people and he likely doesn’t give a rat’s behind for the citizens along state Route 144 north.

Worse yet, our GOP congressmen and senators are following Trump’s lead. Poll after poll indicate that Americans want what the Affordable Care Act provides but our GOP operatives vote repeatedly to destroy the ACA. The ACA is the law of the land and our so-called president took an oath to support the laws of the land — he doesn’t and should be removed for this reason alone.

I am sad for those who voted for Trump thinking he would help them. I am also angry with these people because they jeopardize their future and mine.
