What I have learned as a child, parent, neighbor, daughter, teacher and learner is the following: Actions speak louder than words.
Penn State, my alma mater, my employer, the employer of my partner and so many of my beloved friends and neighbors, please allow your actions to speak loudly.
Allow your commitment to the community of which you are a member, allow your commitment to environmental sustainability, allow your commitment to forging the good character of young women and men, to speak in your actions.
Please Penn State, please President Barron and trustees (that we might all “trust”), please do not compromise our water, our soils, our farmland and the beauty of our open spaces by continuing to pursue a land sale in favor of the proposed Toll Brothers luxury student housing. Please consider land swap options. Please allow your actions to speak your commitments.
