Waiting for an answer

I am concerned about the Russians interfering in our elections.

I understand the House of Representatives did not support a bill to apply more sanctions. Because this seemed incredible, I emailed our representative, Glenn Thompson, asking how he stood on this matter. I never got a response.

So, after waiting a week, I called his Washington, D.C., office. The staff member I spoke with told me that he was unable to tell me how Thompson stands on the issue.

It seems to me that when we call to ask about the positions our representatives have taken, we ought to be able to get a straight answer.

I allocate my remaining 131 words to Thompson to respond.
