‘What’s it going to take?’

So, what’s it going to take? The Texas Tower, Columbine, the Orlando nightclub, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, Las Vegas, massacres in churches … the list goes on. I like the question being posed to Congress — what is going to foment enough outrage to outlaw guns that were never meant to be protected by the Second Amendment? One can interpret that amendment as one wishes, but I and many others don’t believe automatic and semi-automatic weapons, nor that bump thing, were ever designated to be part of this discussion. So when is the perfect time? When is human life going to be more important than political contributions or pandering to a voting base? Ask our representatives to do the right thing now. Enact some meaningful legislation (they’ve not done anything else) before this happens again. And request that they get some guts and say no to the bucks they get from the gun lobby.
