Your vote for judge matters
The voters of Centre County will elect a new judge in November. This judge will serve for a 10-year term so it is important that we choose wisely. Sound legal judgment, temperament and a track record for fairness are key attributes for the position. On a national level, it has become clear how vital the judicial branch is to upholding our Constitution.
An analysis of Centre County court filings shows that civil cases take up the majority of our judges’ time. That is, cases involving some form of personal and business lawsuits, including divorces, property settlements, business actions and personal injury.
And this is why Brian Marshall is the best choice for our next judge. In addition to his long and successful law career, Brian is the only candidate for judge who is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and former Certified Public Accountant. Thus, he brings a whole new skill-set to our local bench.
Civil cases require financial understanding. Brian Marshall has the unique combination of both a law degree and an accounting degree. Centre County will win if Brian is elected our next judge.
Your vote matters. Passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was decided in the Tennessee legislature by the single vote of Harry Burn. He changed history for the better when he cast his vote to secure the right to vote for women. Every citizen has a duty to participate in all elections and the Nov. 7th election is no exception. Let’s elect Brian Marshall!
