Myers, Hahn have outstanding records

Voters in State College will soon choose a new mayor and members of Borough Council. It is important to vote for candidates for local office who are experienced, accomplished, and have demonstrated a commitment to the community.

I have been observing and participating in local politics for many years, and I am pleased to recommend to you Evan Myers for State College Borough Council and Donald Hahn for mayor. Both have outstanding records as private citizens and public servants. Myers currently serves on Borough Council and has chaired the Planning Commission. Planning is the most important and demanding borough committee, and excellent training for Borough Council. Meyers also brings skills honed from years as a top executive of AccuWeather. We are fortunate that he is willing to devote his time and talents to local government.

I served with Don Hahn on Borough Council. He has a long record of service as a council member, including several terms as president of council. Hahn, an attorney in private life, knows the intricacies of borough government inside and out. He also served on the Planning Commission. He has been a key representative to the Centre Region Council of Governments for years. He is uniquely qualified to represent the borough as mayor.

Serving in local office is time consuming and challenging. We are fortunate to have candidates of the quality of Evan Myers and Donald Hahn willing to make the commitment to service. I urge you to vote for them.
