Look outside partisan politics

I am writing today in support of Ron McGlaughin for Centre County Court of Common Pleas judge.

With the overwhelming bipartisan election of our new district attorney this past May, we voted to usher in a new era of criminal justice in Centre County; that responsibility does not end with the election of our district attorney. We as voters must ensure that the judges we are voting onto the bench are just as qualified and experienced, and are of the same ideological standpoints.

That candidate is Ron McGlaughin. As a very outspoken Democratic voter, one may not think he would be my first choice. But I believe that in local politics, there is no Democrat or Republican. These are our neighbors, and we must elect the best candidate for our community. With extensive experience in criminal law, family law and jury trial experience, McGlaughin is the best candidate in this race. Endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police, it is clear that I am not alone in my thinking.

I urge everyone to look outside the partisan politics, and look to the experience and qualifications of the person we are electing. I urge everyone to vote Ron McGlaughin on Nov 7.
