Marshall’s passion best for courts

Brian Marshall is the right choice to be Centre County’s next judge. I have known Brian for nearly his entire life. Although he has been a resident of Centre County all his adult life, Brian was born and raised in Clearfield, and he has never forgotten where he got his start. From 2010 to 2014, I watched Brian work with tenacity and resolve to lead an effort to comprehensively renovate, rehabilitate and modernize the nearly 50-year-old public swimming pool in Clearfield, all from his residence 40 miles away in Centre County. Brian methodically led the effort to raise more than $500,000 in donations, obtained matching grant money, and oversaw the bidding and construction process. He did this as a volunteer, while maintaining his full-time law practice and his family life. His efforts saved the pool, and preserved it for decades to come.

The community swimming pool in Clearfield was an important part of shaping Brian into the person who he is today — swimming there competitively and recreationally in his youth, and working there during his high school and college years. I know that the Centre County court system is just as important to Brian, and I know that he will bring the same tenacity, resolve and work ethic to the bench. He will work tirelessly to administer justice, and to put the Centre County court system back into the high esteem of the residents of Centre County.

I strongly encourage you to vote for Brian Marshall on Nov. 7.

C. Alan, Walker, Clearfield
