Vote for humble public service

Ron Madrid is the right man, in the right place, at the right moment in time for our community.

We need a leader with sound judgment and humility, a person whose actions are determined by careful evaluation of the situation and consideration of all the factors at play. We need pragmatism and patience. We need someone who solves problems. We need Ron Madrid.

Our mayor should have experience governing and have demonstrated their commitment to our community. Madrid has been a humble public servant in State College for much of my life.

He is, in my estimation, the model of a humble public servant, a man of character and integrity who is courageous enough to stand up and make his home a better place. Madrid is involved not for his own self-interest or enrichment, but because it is the right thing to do.

He tackles issues such as local tax reform and community development planning, not flashy by any scale, but very important for the daily operation and future prosperity of our community. This is the real work of governance.

We need experienced, capable and humble people to lead us. People that calmly, effectively and impartially work with all parties to bring about constructive solutions to near and long-term challenges.

Ron Madrid has proven that he is this leader, and the only candidate who has the ability and experience to truly be a mayor for everyone.

Jon Schiavi, State College
