Marshall is the right choice for judge

I am a practicing family and criminal law attorney in Centre County, and have been for the past 34 years. I have tried many cases, both before a jury and before judges in bench trials, and have participated in many hearings. I have practiced in eight surrounding counties and have been in front of the judges in those counties, both past and present. A judge’s ability is not defined by the number of jury trials he had as a lawyer but by the ability to clearly identify the issues and apply the correct reading of the law to a particular situation.

I feel I have a good sense of the skill set and demeanor that a judge must possess to uphold justice and the respect of the public for our courts. Brian Marshall has these qualities, and therefore I endorse him to be our next Centre County judge.

Brian possesses a superior knowledge of the law and the rules of court. More importantly, he has the right temperament, patience and respect for the most important people in the courtroom — the parties —to administer sound legal decisions. He truly cares about people. As one of his adversaries, I have seen his passion for his clients. He cares deeply about the integrity of the court and the treatment of the people that are, by necessity, the recipients of the judge’s decision.

My vote will be for Brian Marshall. I highly recommend him to be our next judge in Centre County.
