Hahn sparks spirit of collegiality

Don Hahn has meritorious accomplishments for becoming mayor of the State College borough. He has been elected three times to Borough Council. In that position, he demonstrated his ability to be a calm, respected and serious evaluator of matters inherent in policy, ordinances and relationships pertaining to Penn State, the residents of State College and the students studying at the university.

Don’s devotion to the community, both on and off campus, has been recognized by fellow members of Borough Council, who elected him council president. Furthermore, Don was appointed to serve in regional organizations for enhancing municipal innovation.

Don is committed to bringing the business community into a closer working relationship with Borough Council. Don is considerate of everyone in listening and questioning proponents for changes. His desire to enhance harmony throughout the community is noteworthy.

I have been a neighbor of Don’s for many years. The two of us have shared ideas during hours of conversation that have given me a special privilege of knowing and learning about Don’s capabilities and manner of thinking, and his cautious nature while reaching decisions. Hence, I am very confident of Don’s qualifications for being a mayor who will continue the spirit of collegiality in the council and throughout the entire State College community.
