Don Hahn, my choice for mayor

I have known and worked with Don Hahn for nearly two decades. We were on Borough Council together for 8 of those years.

Don practices service leadership. As a devoted native son of State College, Don has built long-lasting relationships throughout our community.

As Mayor, I have found Don Hahn to be a valued resource. Don listens, provides thoughtful insights, and, most importantly, has the ability to think both short and long term what is best for State College. He takes the time to understand important issues thoroughly, and is always acutely aware of the concerns of citizens.

Don and I share important progressive values, looking to the future of State College as a more diverse, sustainable and financially healthy town while retaining strong neighborhoods and other small town qualities that make the Borough such a great place to live.

And Don knows what State College will need to become a thriving urban community for young professionals needing quality living accommodations at reasonable prices, universal internet connectivity, an expanded airport, as well as art and cultural amenities. Penn State graduates will be excited to stay in State College and prosper. Don Hahn is a thoughtful visionary who will promote changes in ways to realize State College’s potential.

I will be voting for Don Hahn on Nov. 7, and I hope you will too, for the future of State College in collaboration with Penn State and the Centre Region.

Elizabeth Goreham, State College
