Ron Madrid is a problem-solver

We highly recommend Ron Madrid for the position of mayor of State College. We have known Ron for many years and find him to be intelligent, fair minded and highly professional.

The residents of the borough will be well served by Ron, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Marines, who began a second career 22 years ago at Penn State’s Applied Research Lab. Ron has been active and a leader in borough commissions and civic affairs during his years in State College, and he follows borough issues closely.

We were very impressed with Ron while we served on the Coalition of State College Neighborhoods. Ron is a credit to the Holmes-Foster Neighborhood, and he is certainly appreciated by his neighbors who have elected him president for many years.

The facts are that Ron is uniquely qualified and has the temperament to be mayor. He understands the crucial financial issues facing our borough and is determined and able to find solutions. His demonstrated leadership, experience in financial management (a must for anyone involved in our borough government), ability to listen and treat everyone with respect, and his unique skills in problem-solving make him by far the most qualified of the candidates to be mayor of State College.

Please vote for Ron Madrid on Nov. 7.

Joseph and Susan Rogacs, State College
