Vote Madrid for mayor

I have known Ron Madrid for more than 30 years and do not know of a finer man or one with the characteristics that he possesses. Rich in character and integrity, experience and honesty, Ron built a reputation in every phase of his life. He has excelled from his success at the Naval Academy and an advanced degree to his more than 20 years as a U.S. Marine officer and aviator, and more than 20 years here at Penn State developing research programs and teaching about non-lethal weapons at the various professional military schools. His experience over those 40 years has been broad and inclusive in what it takes to develop and implement programs and budgets for success in every effort he has ever undertaken.

Ron Madrid has chosen to run for mayor of State College as an independent, which frees him from the shackles of party politics. Party politics lends itself to the “we have always done it this way,” mentality, which leads to mediocrity and lack of initiative. Ron will bring fresh thought, innovation and vigor to State College.
