Idea for Dr. Cherry
As a part of Dr. Ken Cherry’s sentencing for failure to keep records of of his prescriptions for oxycodone, Percocet, fentanyl, Adderall and Ativan, he must perform community service. I would like to invite him to sit with me, in my role as chaplain for the women at the Centre County Correctional Facility, and hear the stories of women whose lives have been impacted by these very drugs. Families shattered, children taken away, lives forever changed by addiction. His heart will be wrecked and his soul weary as he prays for God to break the chains of addiction, to restore families, to pour out peace and hope and to redeem lives. I will pray for him as well, that God may guide and direct him as he moves forward form here; sadly many others in our community will never have that opportunity.
