In his Sunday editorial, Jonah Goldberg supports President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel, and criticizes the rest of the world’s delay of their endorsement, showing the Arab world that they can at least understand their feelings. What Goldberg doesn’t state is that in 1948 President Harry Truman persuaded the United Nations to give the Palestinian land to the Zionists, who comprised less than 20 percent of the area’s population.
Suppose the U.N. would decide that there are now so many Latin American refugees that they need a country of their own, and proposed to give them Arizona. How would we feel then?
