Reduce size of PSU’s board of trustees
Alvin de Levie’s commentary on Dec. 13 related to Penn State’s administration and board of trustees is excellent and praiseworthy. I submit that implicit in his commentary is the impression that the board of trustees should be obsolete as its duty of complete responsibility for the government and welfare of the university and all the interests pertaining thereto are being usurped by the administration and transparency is being disregarded. Thirty-some trustees with little meaningful work to do. How about reducing the size of the board as a cost-cutting measure?
