On Dec. 1, we lost our Unionville Pike home, belongings and pets to a fire. We are heartbroken and devastated. With every tragedy comes the heart and soul of the communities near to the tragedy offering support and donations. We are extremely grateful for these family members, community members, friends and good Samaritans.
Erie, our insurance company, has been overwhelmingly supportive in taking care of all our needs, along with the American Red Cross. Our six children have been giving us the emotional support that only two very much loved parents could ever dream of.
We appreciate everyone’s kind words, thoughts, prayers and offers of help and donations. What would honor us the most is if you would donate to your local fire companies. They are the most important responders in any and all tragedies such as ours. We are beyond grateful. They selflessly volunteer their health and safety to the needs of their communities. We would also be deeply touched if you would honor our lost pets, Abby, our boxer, and Samantha, a PAWS alum cat, with a donation in their memory to PAWS or Pets Come First.
