Progressives, don’t be fooled by Oprah

Progressive freethinkers and skeptics, it’s time to do our job for the left and shoot down Oprah’s hopes for a 2020 White House run. Miss Pseudoscience and Queen Psychobabble herself thinks that just because she delivered a well-written speech, progressives are going to line up and vote for her.

Deepak Chopra, Dr. Phil, and more infamously, Dr. Oz aside, she has horrible policy positions on issues like public education. She is nothing more than a wealthy corporate Democrat trying to use a powerful moment of change in our culture to ride an emotional wave of support to political office.

If we want to elect a progressive black woman as president, there are a lot more qualified and deserving candidates (Nina Turner, for instance) than a quasi-intellectual talk show quack who has propagated pseudoscientific nonsense and supports charter schools and the Iraq War.
