Letters: Oz will deliver ‘dose of reality’ to Washington; Many questions for Oz before election
Oz will deliver ‘dose of reality’ to Washington
As someone who was raised in Pennsylvania and now attends university here, I am worried about the future of our commonwealth. Pennsylvania matters and that is why I support Dr. Oz for U.S. Senate.
It’s clear that the Democrats in power have failed us and will continue to fail us. Joe Biden has sent America moving in the wrong direction on all the major issues – inflation, spending, crime, the border, energy, gas prices and school choice. John Fetterman is a scary and reliable vote for this misguided and simply dishonest agenda.
But there’s good news: We can vote for Dr. Oz. As someone with deep experience in the medical, health care and television fields, Dr. Oz is the only one in this race with the skills and knowledge to send a dose of reality to Washington. For goodness’ sake, he spent over a decade bringing people together from different backgrounds on “The Dr. Oz Show”: listening to their views and giving them the freedom to tell their own stories and experiences.
I know Pennsylvania could help lead our country back to greatness, but we need new leaders who aren’t afraid to be bold and independent – who will represent Pennsylvania and the country, not a political party. Dr. Oz will because he knows the future of America depends on it.
Many questions for Oz before election
Voters want to know ... why does Mehmet Oz have to wait to give up his dual citizenship, knowing that if he retains his Turkish citizenship he won’t receive the national security briefings given to other U.S. Senators?
There’s nothing wrong with dual citizenship, and we should welcome immigrants who become U.S. citizens, but if you want to run for high office here in America, shouldn’t your loyalty be undivided? (Even Ted Cruz eventually renounced his dual citizenship before running for president.) What is Dr. Oz waiting for — and why is he still voting in Turkish presidential elections?
How can Dr. Oz claim “America First” when he has an allegiance to another country — one that isn’t very free. Turkey’s dictator has rolled back protections for women, persecuted Kurds and members of the LGBTQ community, and served as an apologist for Putin.
Either he’s an American citizen first or he’s not. This isn’t “Let’s Make a Deal.”
If Oz becomes Pennsylvania’s next U.S. Senator, will he sell one of his 10 homes and actually live in Pennsylvania? Conversely, if he loses, will he continue to claim Pennsylvania residency, or stay in Jersey?
Will he stop selling phony miracle cures (a study shows that half of Dr. Oz’s medical advice is baseless or wrong)? Will he learn the difference between Wegmans and Redners? Will he continue to align himself with the radicals who claim abortion is murder?
Inquiring voters want to know the answers to these questions before we head to the polls on Nov. 8.
Hypocrisy in the GOP
So Mastriano wants to ban pole dancing in high schools? How many kids have died from pole dancing?
Twice, I heard about how the GOP wants to officially classify the USA as a Christian nation. Seriously!
GOP + MAGA = CHINO (Christian in name only).
Thou shalt not bear false witness
Thou shall have no other God before me
They have put halos on their heads because of their anti-abortion stance, but bow down before the god of guns and the god of Trump (lies). It’s fine for innocent children and adults to die by automatic weapons but unlawful to privately deal with an unwanted pregnancy ... and, according to Mastriano, pole dancing!
Christianity has dropped from 85% (1990) to 65% (2020) in the U.S. and is still going downhill. Other religions show more compassion and empathy to the poor, hungry and homeless than our GOP politicians. I think the word is hypocrisy.
There was no voter fraud or cheating in the 2020 elections, but the GOP will resort to lies, hinder voting rights, and add amendments to the state’s constitutions in order to maintain control. Oh ... and they have their guns to enforce it.
